Charts: Inflows into equity MFs fall to multi-year lows in November

Net inflows into equity mutual funds fell sharply to multi-year lows in November. Inflows into equity MFs fell to a three-year low of Rs 933 crore last month, down nearly 85 percent month-on-month, according to data released by the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI). The SIP inflows in October were Rs 8,245 crore. Total number of SIP accounts climbed further to 2.94 crore, an addition of 5.33 lakh accounts during the month. Category wise, multicap fund is down 87 percent, largecap fund showed an increase of 1.25 percent, large and midcap fund which used to be a steady category for the last few months showed a negative number.

Outflows from balanced funds increased to Rs 4,932 crore in November, compared to Rs 1,974 crore in October.
