It's French revolution in Russia as 'Les Bleus' lift the trophy after twenty years

France beat Croatia 4-2 to emerge as the champions of FIFA World Cup 2018 held in Russia. The ‘Men in Blue’ became champions for the second time in one of the most entertaining final match ever played in the tournaments history.

While the Frenchmen lifted the cup after a gap of 20 years, their coach Didier Deschamps becoming the third person in history to lift the cup as both captain and coach. Croatian captain Luka Modric won the Golden Ball award for the World Cup's best player while Kylian Mbappe of France won the young player of the tournament award. English striker Harry Kane claimed the Golden Boot for his six goals and Belgium's Thibaut Courtois won the Golden Glove award for the best goalkeeper.
