SUMMARY
Chief executives at the biggest US companies got an 8.5% raise last year, eclipsing the wage gains for the typical worker, thanks to sky-high stock prices and record corporate profits. The median pay for a CEO rose to $11.7 million, including salary, stock and other compensation, according to an analysis by executive data firm Equilar for The Associated Press. The pay increase matches last year’s, which was the biggest in three years. Image Source: Associated Press (AP)
