Q: 19-year-old Pranav Kulkarni writes us from Mumbai. Currently, I am investing Rs 1,000 in Mirae Asset Emerging BlueChip Fund, Rs 750 in L&T Mid Cap Fund, Rs 750 in HDFC Small Cap Fund and Rs 500 in ICICI Next 50 Index Fund via SIP. I want to review my portfolio and I like to keep investing for more than 15 years for early retirement.
A: Your asset allocation is fine for long term, but invest more. Say after five years, you start working, and start with a SIP of Rs 25,000, which increases 10 percent every year, you would create a corpus of Rs 1.5 crore after 15 years from now.
