India's largest online stock trading platform Zerodha faced system issues on Monday. Zerodha sent a text message to its many users on Monday, informing them about technical issues while selling their holdings on NSE. The brokerage firm also said that users of its Kite platform will be able to sell on BSE.
The company said it is looking into the issue and should be resolved shortly.
"You may face an issue with selling your holdings on NSE but you can sell them on BSE. WE are looking into the issue and it should be resolved shortly," read a text message sent by Zerodha.
Earlier in late February, Zerodha's platform faced system downtime, leading to clearing orders piling up. At that time in an interview with CNBC-TV18, Nikhil Kamath, director of Zerodha, said the clearing of orders delayed due to a connectivity issue.
"We had a connectivity issue in the morning and a couple of lakh orders have piled up and we are just in the process of clearing the order and it should be back up in a couple of minutes,” he added.
Kamath further explained that a small connectivity issue creates a couple of minutes of downtime, which results in orders pile-up in the system. It takes a few minutes to get rid of the delay.
