Indian shares are expected to open little changed on Thursday following muted trends in global markets and amid caution over the ongoing Q2 earnings season. Equities and currencies in global markets were volatile on the back of disappointing US retail sales data and uncertainties around the Brexit deal. At 7:10 AM, the SGX Nifty futures traded 3 points, or 0.03 percent, lower at 11,483, pointing to a flat opening for the Sensex and the Nifty50.

<strong>Mindtree:</strong> September-quarter net profit fell 34.6 percent to Rs 135 crore. Revenue grew 9.1 percent to Rs 1,914.3 crore in the quarter. Mindtree CFO Pradip Menon said net profit had declined on account of two factors - foreign exchange impact and increase in employee salaries. In July, Larsen and Toubro (L&T) had acquired control of Mindtree with over 60 percent share. <strong>ICICI Lombard:</strong> FAL Corporation, part of Canada-based Fairfax Financial Holdings, exited ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company by selling shares worth nearly Rs 2,627 crore.  At the end of June, FAL Corp held around 4.50 crore shares or 9.90 percent stake. <strong>Edelweiss:</strong> The Competition Commission of India has approved the US-based Kora's proposed investment worth $75 million (about Rs 532 crore) in Edelweiss Group. As per the share subscription agreement, Kora is to invest in Edelweiss Securities Ltd (ESL) and Edelweiss Global Investment Advisory (EGIA) business subsidiaries. The regulator also warned the firm that until it corrects all violations, it may withhold approval of new drug applications from the plant.
