Indian equity indices continued their record-breaking run for the second session on Tuesday, largely on the back of Reliance Industries, IT shares and HDFC twins but gains were capped due to weakness in bank shares.
The BSE Sensex closed at a new all-time high of 38,896.63, while the NSE Nifty 50 also advanced to end at a record high of 11,738.50.
These are the stocks making the biggest moves premarket:
JSW Steel, Lupin: The NSE on Tuesday announced the removal of drug maker Lupin from the benchmark index Nifty 50 from September 28. In its place, JSW Steel will enter the index, NSE said in a statement.
State Bank of India: SBI will sell approximately 3.85 percent stake in NSE, it informed the stock exchanges on August 28.
Jet Airways: The cash-crunched airways said it has received an additional equity of $300 million in the form of advance lease incentives and borrowings from domestic banks. Jet Airways also reiterated that both the airline and its auditors were on the same page and there was no difference of opinion.
HDFC Bank, Federal Bank, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank: Google on Tuesday rebranded its Tez app as Google Pay and said it was partnering with these four Indian banks to provide instant loans to the app’s users.
