Indian equity market Indexes posted their lowest close in one-and-a-half months, dragged by public sector undertaking (PSU) banks as the rupee weakened after crude prices rose. The BSE Sensex fell 0.78 percent to 37,291, while the NSE Nifty declined 0.87 percent to 11,279.

Bajaj Corp: Shares of Bajaj Corp rose over 9 percent to hit a three-month high of Rs 468.40 backed by heavy volumes. At close, shares ended at Rs 456.95, up 6.59 percent.
Balrampur Chini Mills: Shares of Balrampur Chini Mills declined by 10.55 percent to end at Rs 85.60. The stock opened at Rs 95.20 and touched a high of Rs 97.85 and a low of Rs 82.20 in trade today. The small-cap stock has fallen after three days of consecutive gain on profit-booking.
SBI: Shares of the State Bank of India (SBI) slipped 4.10 percent to settled at Rs 273.60. It opened at Rs 285 and touched a high of Rs 286.90.
Union Bank of India: Shares of the PSU lender touched the day's low of Rs 74.20, after opening at Rs 82. The stock traded at Rs 74.75, sharply dipping by 9.17 percent at the close.
Bharti Airtel: Shares of the telco erased gains and fell over 2 percent at the end to Rs 374.15 after data showed that the company had added fewer customers in July compared to competitors Reliance Jio Infocomm and Vodafone Idea.
Corporation Bank: Shares closed at Rs 28.20, surging by 6.02 percent. It touched a high of Rs 30.40, rising by nearly 14 percent, after opening at Rs 28.25.
Uniphos Enterprises: Shares jumped nearly 20 percent to close at a 52-week high of Rs 120.75.
Bank of Baroda: Shares ended at Rs 112.20, slumping 17.04 percent. It ranged between a high of Rs 126.45 and a low of Rs 111.85, after opening at Rs 121.75.
Goodricke Group: Shares of Goodricke Group rose 9 percent to hit their three-month high of Rs 350 today as the company has signed a MoU to acquire Assam-based Harchurah Tea Estate from McLeod Russel India for Rs 316.4 million. The stock quoted at Rs 326, up by 1.18 percent at the close.
Dena Bank: Shares were locked in a 20 percent upper circuit at its three-month high of Rs 19.05.
