Indian shares plunged further ahead of close, dragged lower by Reliance Industries, which fell 3.2 percent in trade along with IndusInd Bank, Kotak Bank, Infosys, Asian Paints, ONGC, Yes Bank, TCS among others. ICICI Bank, HDFC bank, NTPC and Hindustan Unilever supported indexes. The Sensex traded 152 points lower, or 0.44 percent, to trade at 34,163.31 at 3.10 pm. The Nifty slipped 45 points, or 0.44 percent, at 10,258.

Sensex, Nifty trade higher; Reliance Industries, TCS limit gains
The Indian market traded rangebound on Monday as index heavyweight Reliance Industries and Tata Consultancy Services under-performed, keeping gains from HDFC twins and ITC in check. Investor sentiment remained cautious ahead of the F&O expiry on Thursday.
The Nifty traded at 10,324, up by 20.55 points at 11.45 am, while the Sensex rose 106 points to 34,422. Benchmark indexes had earlier opened nearly a percent higher on gains across sectors, except IT.
Broader markets under-perform with the Nifty MidCap trading in the red, down by 0.30 percent. The BSE MidCap was marginally up by 0.18 percent.
Sectoral indices traded largely negative with the BSE Energy leading 25 declining sectors. Nifty Finance surged 1.36 percent to take the lead among 18 advancing sectors. Nifty Bank rose nearly a percent, while FMCG also climbed.
Among top gainers, Indiabulls Housing Finance, ICICI Bank, Eicher Motors, Bajaj Finance, NTPC, Bajaj Auto, HDFC Bank, Vedanta moved higher by up to 11.13 percent.
BPCL, UltraTech Cement, Yes Bank, IndusInd Bank, Tech Mahindra, ONGC, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, Reliance and TCS were among top losers, declining by more than 3 percent.
