Sensex falls 160 points as rift between govt and RBI widens; Tata Steel slumps 6%

The Nifty MidCap was marginally up by 0.12 percent, while the BSE MidCap traded lower by 0.10 percent.
Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Indiabulls Housing, Sun Pharma, HDFC, Axis Bank, Hero MotoCorp rose by up to 4.4 percent.
Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel, Coal India, Dr Reddy's Labs, Hindalco, Maruti Suzuki, Baja Auto plunged by nearly 5 percent.
