Opening Bell: Markets advance in opening due to strong global cues; Vedanta, Hindalco among top gainers

Opening Bell: Markets advance in opening due to strong global cues; Vedanta, Hindalco among top gainers
The markets opened in the green on Friday with the help of strong global cues.
The BSE Sensex opened in 34,000 levels at 34,167 points and the NSE Nifty opened in the 10,400 range at 10,495 points.
The strong global cues come in-line with the ease in trade tensions after Xi Jinping, China's President, announced that country was ready to welcome free trade. Another factor which added to the gains was the US President Donald Trump backtracking his suggestion of an imminent missile attack on Syria.
Among the opening index gainers, Vedanta tops the list as it is 1.5%. Hindalco, Dr Reddy's Labs and Wipro were among the others.
Sun Pharma and Tata Motors were among the top losers in the opening.
Infosys Q4 results will be out today and currently, the stock is facing a 2% loss.
