Indian markets opened mildly lower on Wednesday due to weak global cues. The BSE Sensex stood at 34,582 points and the NSE Nifty was trading at 10,600 points.
Bharti Airtel, Raymonds, MTNL, ICICI Prudential and GMR Infra were seen among the gainers, while Oberoi Realty, IDFC Bank and DCM Shriram were the top losers.
Asian markets fell in the morning trade with Nikkei down by 100 points.
The US market largely ended lower as the benchmark indices Dow and S&P ended lower and the Nasdaq shed 1.2%.
Japan's Nikkei was down by 100 points while Korea's KOSPI was down nearly 0.5%.
SGX Nifty is trading at levels around 10,500 as against Nifty April Fut's Tuesday close of 10,617, indicating a negative opening of Dalal Street today.
