Benchmark indices continued to remain low in the second half after showing a slight recovery with the BSE Sensex trading at 34,118 points and the NSE Nifty at 10,468 points.
Though started on a weak note, IT stocks managed to gain while approaching the second half of the trading hours as the rupee hit a five month low.
Infosys recovered 3%. Among the other gainers were TCS, HCL tech and Tech Mahindra.
DCB Bank soared on strong Q4 earnings. Tata Motors was the biggest Nifty loser.

On global front, US markets ended in the red, the Dow was down close to around 100 points.
