Lakshmi Vilas Bank hits upper circuit, Indiabulls Housing falls 4% on proposed merger

Shares of Lakshmi Vilas Bank (LVB) hit the upper circuit during the opening bell on Monday after the bank announced its merger with Indiabulls Housing Finance (IHFL).
LVB surged about 37 percent to Rs 97.40 from Rs 71 per share in the last 7 trading sessions.
On April 5, the board of LVB approved the scheme of amalgamation with IHFL in a share swap deal.
