Kotak Portfolio Management Services on Friday said 2019 is a good year for equities and mid-caps are likely to outperform the large-caps this year.
In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Anshul Saigal, head and portfolio manager, said, "Some interesting themes are emerging. Infra stocks are seeing interest as order books look fairly strong. Moreover, capacity utilisation is also picking up. Both these things suggest that we are at the cusp of a revival in the investment cycle."
"As capex picks up, the capital goods and infra space will witness tailwinds going forward," Saigal said.
With regards to the auto sector, he said, "The dip in demand is temporary and not structural. This space has significant room to grow."
