Asian shares tick up, US data, earnings in focus ahead of Fed

Early in the Asian trading day, MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan was up 0.04 percent.
Australian shares were up 0.1 percent and Japan's Nikkei stock index dipped 0.36 percent.
On Tuesday, the yield on benchmark 10-year Treasury notes turned down slightly to 2.087 percent compared with its US close of 2.092 percent on Monday.
