Asia shares up on policy easing hopes, yuan slips on PBOC signals

Financial markets are pricing in a 67 percent chance of a cut by the US Federal Reserve at its July 31 meeting while there is a near 60 percent chance of a second easing by New Zealand and Australian central banks next month.
Japan's Nikkei ended 0.5 percent higher, Australia's benchmark index climbed 0.8 percent while South Korea's Kospi added 0.4 percent .
Two-year Treasury yields were near their lowest since December 2017 at 1.88 percent  , having fallen 28 basis points in just two weeks.
