Sensex up 100 points, Nifty holds 11,700; FMCG, IT stocks slip

Indian benchmark equity indices, the S&P BSE Sensex and NSE's Nifty50, traded flat on Wednesday in the afternoon session after banking and financial stocks trade higher.
Nifty realty was the best performing sector on Wednesday followed by Nifty Financial Services, Nifty Private Bank while Nifty FMCG declined the most.
BPCL, Sun Pharma, ICICI Bank, UPL, L&T and Indian Oil Corporation were among the major gainers on the Nifty50, whereas Indiabulls Housing Finance, Tech Mahindra, ITC, IndusInd Bank and YES Bank led losses.
