The Indian market continued a largely flat trend around noon on Thursday even though the global market began to show slight recovery.
At 1:22 PM, the BSE Sensex was trading at 36,099 points, 0.03 percent lower, while the NSE Nifty was trading at 10,821 points, 0.08 percent lower. The indices have been largely flat with a negative bias.
In the latest global market update, Asian shares inched up, however, political uncertainty in the United States and worries about weakening global economic growth has kept many investors on the sidelines.

ITC gained 1.33 percent after posting robust Q3 results on Wednesday. Profit came in for the company at Rs 3,209 crore ($450.35 million) for the three months ended December 31, 2018, compared with Rs 3,090 crore a year ago.
ITC, TCS, Titan Company, Vedanta and Reliance Industries were the top index gainers towards the noon while Bharti Infratel, Sun Pharma, Tata Motors, UPL and Yes Bank were the top index losers.
