Markets close flat; Sun Pharma, Vedanta among the top gainers
The markets closed flat with the BSE Sensex and the NSE Nifty closing with minor gains while the Nifty Bank ended in the red.
The Nifty closed 15 points higher at 10,417, with Reliance and TCS its major contributors. ICICI Bank was the the biggest index loser in today’s session, after gaining in the previous session. The market breadth remained in favour of declines with the advance-decline ratio at 2:3. The put-call ratio stands at 1.46 against yesterday's level of 1.43. All the three oil firms IOC, HPCL and BPCL, saw a fall in the range of 6-7%.
Market recovers from lows; Sensex at 33936 points; Nifty at 10408 points.
The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty have advanced in the last hour of the trade and has recovered losses. The BSE Sensex is trading at 33936 points and NSE Nifty is trading at 10408 points. PSU Banks continue to remain negative.
