June 20: Here's what you should know before the opening bell

The rising trade jitters between the US and China led to deep cuts to global markets on Tuesday, with the impact being seen here in domestic equity market too.

The BSE Sensex slipped 262 points to 35,287, with Vedanta and Mahindra & Mahindra being worst performing stocks.

The NSE Nifty closed with a fall of 89 points at 10,710, with market breadth being in favour of declines. The NSE Advance-decline ratio was at 1:3 at Tuesday's close.

Sebi is likely to amend the Issue of Capital and Disclosure Requirements (ICDR) after analysing public opinion during its board meeting scheduled for June 21, Moneycontrol reported.

Oil prices rose in early Asian trading on Wednesday, supported by a drop in US commercial crude inventories reported by the American Petroleum Institute (API). US crude inventories fell by 3 million barrels in the week to June 15 to 430.6 million barrels, according to the weekly API report published on Tuesday.

Banks are targeting at disbursing Rs 50,000 crore of agricultural credit to farmers in West Bengal during the current fiscal and the State Level Bankers' Committee (SLBC) is also planning to bring "uncovered" farm households in the state into the banking fold, an official said on Tuesday.
