Sensex was up 89.32 points at 36,725.42 while Nifty was up 5.20 points at 11,058.20. Some amount of buying was seen in sectors like infrastructure, bank, and FMCG while metals, IT, pharmaceuticals and automobile sectors saw selling pressure.
Around 1,287 shares advanced, 1,349 shares declined and 159 shares remain unchanged.

Canara Robeco Mutual Fund A/C Canara Robeco Income Saer Fun bought 12,00,000 shares of NIIT Ltd at Rs 92.8 aggregating to a total amount of Rs 11,13,60,000 crore.
In block deal, Jubilant Stock Holding Pvt Ltd bought 6,50,000 shares in Jubilant Life Science at Rs 765.85 totaling to Rs 49,78,02,500 crore.
