The benchmark indices ended at day's low after Nifty ended below 11,600 level. Markets saw a huge selling pressure during the afternoon trade hours after which both indices closed in the red territory.

Sensex closed at 38,585.35 down by 353.87 points while Nifty closed at 11,583.60 down by 88.40 points. Around 1,134 shares advanced, 1,369 shares declined and 173 shares remained unchanged.
All sectoral indices ended in the red except auto and pharma.
