General Elections 2019 Trivia: How India's voting rate measures up

The 17th Lok Sabha elections, to be held in seven phases, will begin on April 11. Almost 90 crore eligible voters will cast their votes to elect their preferred candidates in about 543 Lok Sabha constituencies.

In the 2014 elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) bagged 210 Lok Sabha seats while the Congress won 106. About 66.4 percent voters participated in the 16th Lok Sabha elections.
