The US dollar ended sharply higher against the rupee at Rs 71.24 per dollar.
The US dollar ended sharply higher against the rupee at Rs 71.24 per dollar but the pound sterling finished higher at Rs 91.52 at the close of the Interbank Foreign Exchange (forex) market.
