Gold dips as investors opt for safe-haven dollar, bonds

Spot gold was down 0.1 percent at $1,223.33 per ounce at 11:19 a.m. EST (1619 GMT), putting it on mark to snap a five-session winning streak.
The dollar rallied from a two-week low and benchmark US Treasury yields slipped to seven-week lows as world stock market declines boosted demand for safe-haven debt and the US currency.
