Indian marked ended with gains on Monday for a second straight session after a weak start. The recovery was largely led by IT stocks benefiting from a depreciating rupee and well-supported by pharma and select largecaps like HDFC Bank, ITC and Reliance Industries, while consumer discretionary stocks capped the gains.

ITC: Shares of ITC rose 2.7 percent to end at Rs 282.50, following a hike in prices of its Aashirvad Atta variants by up to 6 percent, and Charmis cold cream by up to 21 percent in October.
MT Educare: Shares surged after the company reported a net profit of Rs 28.2 million for the quarter ended September compared to a net loss of Rs 4.2 million in the year ago period. Shares of the company traded 16.49 percent higher at Rs 54.40.
Trident: Shares hit their 20 percent upper circuit at Rs 69.35 as the company's July-September net profit doubled on the year to Rs 1.1 billion.
Venky's India: Shares surged 16 percent backed by robust volumes and analysts expect the positive momentum in the stock to sustain going ahead. Shares ended at Rs 2,566.40, higher by 12.60 at close.
8K Miles Software Services: Shares hit a 5 percent lower circuit at Rs 126.45 after the company said the 2.57 million shares held by managing director and Promoter Suresh Venkatachari were wrongfully and illegally transferred through off-market transactions.
Avenue Supermarts: Shares fell 7 percent as the company's net profit of Rs 2.26 billion for the September quarter fell short of analysts' estimate. Shares quoted at Rs 1,323.70, down by 6.23 percent at close.
Maruti Suzuki India: Shares fell as much as 2.2 percent to Rs 7126.05 and ended at Rs 7166, dipping 1.66 percent.
IndusInd Bank: Shares ended at Rs 1,626.95, lower by 1.56 percent. Intra-day, it hit a low of Rs 1,588.85, dipping 3.88 percent, underperforming the sector 1.54 percent.
DHFL: Shares of Dewan Housing Finance Ltd ended at Rs 281.60, lower by 3.64 percent. The NBFC stock touched an intra-day low of Rs 270.10, lower by 7.58 percent.
Dr Reddys Labs: Shares touched an intra-day high of Rs 2,579.95, rising 5.28 percent. It quoted at Rs 2,566.85, gaining 4.75 percent at close.
