Asian shares steady; euro hampered by Italian political risk
Japan's Nikkei gained 0.4 percent and South Korea's KOSPI rose 0.4 percent.
Yields on 10-year US Treasuries hit 3.10 percent on Wednesday for the first time since July 2011.
