Asian shares gain on better Sino-US trade tone, oil climbs

Japan's Nikkei opened on a firm note, rising 0.2 percent while Australian shares added 0.5 percent.
New Zealand's benchmark index was 0.1 percent higher. South Korea's Kospi was a touch weaker after disappointing trade data.
That left MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan up 0.5 percent at 511.3 points.
