Kotak Mahindra Group is among the leading financial services conglomerates in India. Established in 1985, the company is engaged in commercial banking, investment banking, stock broking, car finance, asset management and life insurance. Kotak Mahindra Finance Limited (KMFL), the Group’s flagship company, received a banking license from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in February 2003. KMFL is the first non-banking finance company in India to become a bank. Kotak Mahindra Group offers a wide range of financial services in a variety of segments such as Treasury, Investments and Balance Sheet Management unit (BMU), and Retail Banking, among others. Kotak Mahindra Group has a wide distribution network through branches and franchisees across India. It also has international offices in London, New York, California, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Mauritius and Singapore. In February 2013, the company acquired the business loans portfolio of the Indian arm of Barclays Plc. Kotak Mahindra Bank is listed on both the BSE and the NSE.
