Essar Steel Case: Supreme Court rejects pleas by operational creditors

The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) had issued a February 11 deadline for the Ahmedabad Bench to decide on the bid placed by ArcelorMittal.
The Supreme Court said the Essar promoters are acting through operational creditors, people and proxies to delay the process and it has been 571 days since the inception of the insolvency proceedings.
