Shraddha Walkar murder case: The police team from the national capital is camping in Vasai area near Mumbai for a week now. Investigators have already questioned friends and relatives of Walkar and prime accused Aaftab Poonawala, as well as the owners of the flats they had rented.
The Delhi Police team probing the Shraddha Walkar murder case on Thursday (November 24) conducted a search in Bhayander creek near Mumbai for a mobile phone, an official said. The search was conducted with the help of personnel of the Mira-Bhayandar-Vasai-Virar Police, he said.
The police team from the national capital is camping in Vasai area near Mumbai — where Walkar and her live-in partner and alleged murderer Aaftab Poonawala hailed from — for a week.
The investigators also recorded statements of Walkar’s and Poonawala's friends and relatives, and owners of the flats they had rented, among others. Poonawala allegedly murdered Walkar in Delhi in May this year.
Earlier, on November 22, Poonawala underwent a a polygraph test, while investigators found more evidence, including blood stains in the flat where both lived.
