A fire has been reported at shops in Fashion Street in Mumbai. Fire tenders are at the spot. The Mumbai traffic police said the road has been closed for traffic temporarily until the situation is brought to order.

Shops at Fashion Street in Mumbai caught fire around 1pm on Saturday. Fire tenders were rushed to the spot and within two hours the flames had been doused. No injuries have been reported.

Black smoke rising in the sky was visible from a distance. Mumbai Fire Brigade officials said the fire at the shops on Fashion Street was a level 1 fire.
Around 10 to 20 shops are reported to have been engulfed in the fire. BEST, Mumbai fire brigade as well as police personnel are present at the spot.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
