Right to die with dignity is allowed : SC

Passive Euthanasia is a condition in which there is a deliberate withdrawal of medical treatment with the intention of hasten the death of terminally ill patient
A petition was filed by an NGO, named “Common Cause” in the top court seeking a direction for the recognition of “Living Will”.
The Supreme Court had recognized passive euthanasia in Aruna Shaunbaug’s case in 2011 which prompted it to withdraw treatment from patients who are incapable to make an informed decision.
