India has added 1,52,734 new COVID-19 cases, the lowest daily tally in 50 days. The number of cases remains below 2 lakh for the fourth straight day. Active cases fell for the 18 consecutive days and the number stood at 20,26,092. The total tally of cases is at 2,80,47,534, as per the data shared by the Union Health Ministry.
The daily fatalities reported at 3,128, the lowest increase in 34 days. The death toll rose to 3,29,100 while the mortality rate at 1.17 percent, the data updated at 8 am showed.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 34,48,66,883 samples were tested up to May 30 for COVID-19. Of these, 16,83,135 samples were tested on May 30.
