TPG Capital, Baring looks to buy stake in PNB Housing Finance, says report

TPG Capital and Baring Private Equity Asia are in the race to acquire PNB Housing Finance Ltd, Mint reported, quoting sources.
The PE funds are seeking to acquire a 51 percent stake in the housing finance company, valued at Rs 10,281 crore at the current market price, the sources added.
Both TPG and Baring Asia have shown interest in entering the housing finance segment. The two had earlier failed to pick up stake in ICICI Home Finance, due to a mismatch in the valuation.
