HDFC Ergo likely to buy Apollo Munich Health Insurance for about Rs 2,600 crore: report

The 51:49 joint venture between Apollo Hospitals and Munich Re Apollo Munich is currently the second-largest health insurance provider. However, after the stake sale deal with HDFC Ergo, Munich Re will exit the company, two people aware of the development told the newspaper.
Germany-based insurance company Ergo, that holds 49 percent stake in HDFC Ergo, is owned by Munich Re.
