Calibra, the social network’s digital wallet, will not be available in markets where “cryptocurrencies are banned or Facebook is restricted from operating in,” said the report.
The social media firm has not filed any application with the Reserve Bank of India to use its cryptocurrency in India, it added.
A Facebook representative told that the firm expects Calibra to work on WhatsApp and be available globally, added the report.
