Post COVID-19 things are going digital for sure, former chairman of NABARD and Executive Chairman at Capital India Finance Harsh Kumar Bhanwala told CNBC-TV18 in an interview.
"A micro ATM has a very low cost of operation, it is secure. I think in rural areas, the future is for micro ATMs rather than the ATMs," he said.
"We hope to add a lot of value to the existing service. We will start offering POS services, we have tie-ups with a few banks and we will be offering foreign exchange services as well. We will be offering full range of services, insurance, payments and will probably enter the payment gateway services," he said.
"Thankfully, in rural India, agricultural income has been good. It has not been affected by COVID as other sectors," he said.
