London-based banking giant Barclays on Monday appointed Sandeep Das as head of private clients – India in private bank & overseas services, with effect from February 11, 2019.
Das has over 27 years of experience in private banking and in his previous role, he was the managing director of Standard Chartered Private Bank in India.
Karen Frank, chief executive officer, private banking and overseas services, Barclays said, “Sandeep’s extensive experience will support our strategy and capitalise on the strengths and resources of the Barclays brand and global business. His track record in private banking in India will enable us to expand and deepen our client relationships to deliver solutions from across Barclays International."
He started his banking career with ANZ Grindlays in 1991 and had held diverse roles across products, distribution and segments in his 27 years of his career.
Das graduated in Economics from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi in 1989 and followed by MBA from Xavier School of Management (XLRI) in 1991.
