Petrol prices rise, diesel rates unchanged across major cities

According to the Indian Oil Corporation data, petrol costs Rs 71.77 per litre and diesel Rs 66.64 a litre in New Delhi.
In Kolkata and Chennai, the petrol price stood at Rs 73.83 per litre and Rs 74.50 per litre while diesel was at Rs 68.40 per litre and Rs 70.45 a litre, respectively.
Petrol price in Mumbai stood at Rs 77.38 a litre while diesel was at Rs 69.83 per litre, at par with the levels seen at the end of March.
