Petrol prices resume record rally, inches closer to Rs 90/litre in Mumbai

Brent crude fell 0.1 percent to $79.31 per barrel on Thursday during the Asian markets trading hour. The US dollar ended sharply lower against the rupee at Rs 72.37 per dollar on Wednesday.
The Delhi High Court on Wednesday dismissed an application seeking direction to the Centre to disclose the formula on the basis of which daily prices of petroleum and diesel are fixed.
