India to seek assistance from British govt to recover taxes from energy firm Cairn, says report

India had amended its Income Tax Act, 1961, in 2012 which made the Britain-run energy company's 2006 asset restructuring in India taxable, the report said, adding the tax demand was of Rs 10,200 crore including the interest and penalty.
The energy firm challenged the move before an arbitration panel.
