Fuel prices take a breather; Delhi to shut petrol pumps on Oct 22-23

The DPDA has called for a shut-down by 400-odd petrol pumps in Delhi on October 22-23 to press for reduction in Value Added Tax (VAT) by Delhi government on diesel and petrol.
In New Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai, petrol was at Rs 82.62 a litre, Rs 84.44 a litre and Rs 85.88 per litre, while diesel stood Rs 75.58 a litre, Rs 77.43 a litre and Rs 79.93 a litre, respectively.
