Here's a look at the rare genius Stephen Hawking's achievements on his birthday

On January 8, 1942, exactly 300 years after the death of Galileo, Stephen William Hawking was born in Oxford, England. A ‘rare genius’ Hawking made discoveries in the field of cosmology that proved that black holes could leak energy and particles into space. Hawking, however suffered from a rare motor neuron disease which forbid him to move, restricting him to his personalised wheelchair and would eventually lose his speech. Nonetheless, this genius man made discoveries that would pave ways for scientist to understand the universe better. On his 77th birth anniversary, take a look at his achievements.
