The government will soon launch a new 100-rupee coin bearing the image of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, reported NDTV.
The coin will weigh 35 grams. It will have a portrait of Atal Bihari Vajpayee on one side and the other side of the coin will have the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with "Satyameva Jayate" inscribed below in the Devanagari script, the report said.
His name will be inscribed in the Devanagari script as well as English and the years 1924 and 2018 which are his birth and death years will be inscribed at the bottom of his picture, it said.
The word "Bharat" will be put on its left periphery in the Devanagari script and "India" will be on the right in English, the report said.
The former prime minister died on August 16, earlier this year at the age of 93.
