NDRF team rescues all 1,000 stranded passengers from Mahalaxmi Express

Teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Navy, Air Force, Army, Railways and State administration rescued all 1,000 passengers from the Mahalaxmi Express after it got stuck in waterlogged tracks in Maharashtra's Thane district. The NDRF and the Indian Navy earlier launched a rescue operation after authorities warned passengers not to move. The train had departed from Mumbai on Friday at around 8:15 pm and it got stuck at 3 am on Saturday.
