In pictures: Several parts of India flooded after heavy rains

Heavy rains affected normal life across India, particularly in Assam and Bihar. The rains, that brought relief to capital Delhi, had disastrous effects on several areas in states of Bihar, Assam and Tripura. While the situation in Eastern India is expected to improve today, IMD has indicated heavy downpour in several areas in North India.
