The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted thunderstorm with gusty winds for the next three days in certain states and heat wave in large parts of the country this week.
The Met office has predicted a thunderstorm accompanied with squall for the next two days with the wind speed between 50 and 70 kmph which is likely to affect several states including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, West Bengal, Bihar, Sikkim, Odisha, Manipur, Mizoram, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu.
While, the storm is likely to continue in the national capital till Tuesday, the Met office has predicted. Flights were cancelled and diverted at the Delhi airport after the dust storm broke in on Sunday.
Alongside the storm, the Met department has predicted heat wave conditions in Rajasthan and Vidarbha till Friday, whereas, Uttar Pradesh, Marathwada Madhya Pradesh will experience the same on Monday.
