Updated : September 17, 2018 07:57 AM IST
Prices have been on the rise since mid-August due to various factors including rupee depreciation, high excise duty and rise in crude oil rates.
In New Delhi, the petrol prices stand at Rs 82.06 per litre, up by 15 paise, while the diesel prices stand at Rs 73.78 per litre, up by 0.06 paise.
The rupee, although recovered on Friday, closed relatively weak at 71.84 against the US dollar.
